    General business climate index 4.4 points up in April compared to March

    In April 2010, the general business climate index in Bulgaria is 4.4 points higher as compared to the previous month, as data from the National Statistical Institute indicates. The improved figures are due to the more favorable opinions of top executives from all sectors – industry, construction, retail trade and the service sector.

    MPs adopted on first reading amendments to the Law on access to public information proposed by Martin Dimitrov, MP from UDF

    Big contracts to be made public, this was voted today by the members of the parliament, after they adopted amendments to the Law on access to public information on first reading. The amendments were moved by Martin Dimitrov, MP from UDF's parliamentary group. These amendments give publicity to contracts of predominant public interest. Such contracts and projects include Belene NPP, Burgas-Alexandroupolis Pipeline, the Gazprom contract for supply of natural gas, and many more.
